Hadith 10808

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fasts for one day for the sake of Allah’s pleasure, Allah distances him from Hell as far as the distance covered by a crow that starts flying from its childhood and dies in old age. Benefit: The crow is famous for its long life. The meaning of the hadith is that the distance a crow covers by flying throughout its entire life, by the blessing of one fast, such a distance is placed between the fasting person and Hell.
