It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Wine is made from these two trees—one is the date palm and the other is the grapevine. And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not make nabidh by mixing raisins and dates, whether unripe or ripe, but you may make nabidh from each of them separately.
