It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the king of Dumah al-Jandal—which is a region between Syria and Madinah—sent a silk garment as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to me and said: "Make headscarves from it and distribute them among the women."
