حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الوَزَّاعِ , عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيْنٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , وَسَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ ، فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالُوا لَنَا : " انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَسْجِدِ التَّقْوَى , فَانْطَلَقْنَا نَحْوَهُ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلْنَاهُ يَدَاهُ عَلَى كَاهِلِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا ، فَثُرْنَا فِي وَجْهِهِ , فَقَالَ : مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؟ " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ , وَسَمُرَة .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I, Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) set out to present ourselves before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) informed us that he had gone towards the Mosque of Taqwa (Masjid Quba). We proceeded there, and on the way, we encountered the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The hands of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were on the shoulders of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). When we approached the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said, "Abu Bakr! Who are these people?" They replied, "Abdullah bin Umar, Abu Huraira, and Samurah (may Allah be pleased with them)."
