Hadith 1076

(حديث مرفوع) قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَاه إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ ، إِلَّا أَنْ تُصَلُّوا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ " ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : فَمَا أَدْرِي بِمَكَّةَ يَعْنِي أَوْ بِغَيْرِهَا ؟ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not perform any prayer after the Asr prayer, except if the sun appears clear and bright, then it is permissible."
