حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عن أَبي مُزَاحمٍ ، عن أبي هريرة , قََالَ : عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ ، وَمَنْ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَ قَضَاءَهَا ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " , قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ ؟ قَالَ : " أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked for clarification about the two qirats, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One of them is equal to the mountain of Uhud.
