Hadith 10749

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي , حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَحَثَّ عَلَيْهِ , فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : عِنْدِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : فَمَا بَقِيَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ رَجُلٌ , إِلَّا قَدْ تَصَدَّقَ بِمَا قَلَّ أَوْ كَثُرَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَنَّ خَيْرًا فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ ، كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهُ كَامِلًا ، وَمِنْ أُجُورِ مَنْ اسْتَنَّ بِهِ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا ، وَمَنْ اسْتَنَّ شَرًّا فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ , فَعَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهُ كَامِلًا , وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ الَّذِي اسْتَنَّ بِهِ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever establishes a way of misguidance among the people and people follow him, he will bear a sin equal to that of those who follow him, and nothing will be diminished from their sins. And whoever establishes a way of guidance among the people and people follow him, he will receive a reward equal to that of those who follow him, and nothing will be diminished from their rewards.
