Hadith 10741

حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْحَيَّاتِ : " مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ , فَمَنْ تَرَكَ شَيْئًا خِيفَتَهُنَّ ، فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding snakes: Since we started fighting them, we have never made peace with them. Whoever leaves them due to fear is not from among us.
