حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ , عَنِ الْحَسَنِ , قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِائَةُ رَحْمَةٍ ، وَإِنَّهُ قَسَمَ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ ، فَوَسِعَتْهُمْ إِلَى آجَالِهِمْ ، وَذَخَرَ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً لِأَوْلِيَائِهِ ، وَاللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَابِضٌ تِلْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ الَّتِي قَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ إِلَى التِّسْعَةِ وَالتِّسْعِينَ فَيُكَمِّلُهَا مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ لِأَوْلِيَائِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " , قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَحَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ , وَخِلَاسٌ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has one hundred mercies, out of which He has sent down only one mercy upon all the inhabitants of the earth, and the remaining ninety-nine mercies Allah has reserved for His friends. Then Allah will take back this one mercy and combine it with those ninety-nine mercies, and on the Day of Resurrection, He will bestow all one hundred mercies upon His friends.
