Hadith 10634

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ النَّحْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on the two days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
