Hadith 10627

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ مَالِكٍ , أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يُكْنَى بِكُنْيَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade adopting his kunyah (patronymic name).
