It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When one third of the night remains, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven and announces: Who is there who supplicates to Me so that I may accept his supplication? Who is there who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him? Who is there who asks from Me so that I may grant him? This announcement continues until the break of dawn, or until the reciter returns from the Fajr prayer.
