Hadith 10534

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَنْ يُنَجِّيَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ " , قَالَ : قُلْنَا : وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " وَلَا أَنَا , إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ , وَلَكِنْ قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy. However, you should remain steadfast on the straight path."
