حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ فقال : اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لي وَلمحمدٍ , وَلَا تَغْفِرْ لِأَحَدٍ مَعَنَا , فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ احْتَظَرْتَ وَاسِعًا " , ثُمَّ وَلَّى حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَشَجَ يَبُولُ , فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا بُنِيَ هَذَا الْبَيْتُ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَا يُبَالُ فِيهِ " , ثُمَّ دَعَا بِسَجْلٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَفْرَغَهُ عَلَيْهِ ، قَالَ : يَقُولُ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ : بَعْدَ أَنْ فَقِهَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيَّ , بِأَبِي هُوَ وَأُمِّي , فَلَمْ يَسُبَّ , وَلَمْ يُؤَنِّبْ , وَلَمْ يَضْرِبْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came to Masjid Nabawi while the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was present there. He began to supplicate: "O Allah! Have mercy on me and on Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not include anyone else with us in it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled, turned towards him, and said, "You have confined the vast mercy of Allah." Shortly after, that Bedouin began to urinate in the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, went to him, and said, "These mosques are made for the remembrance of Allah and for prayer; urine is not to be passed in them." Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a bucket of water and poured it over the urine. After this, when the Bedouin understood, he used to say, "May my parents be sacrificed for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); he came to me standing, he did not abuse me, did not scold me, and did not beat me."
