Hadith 10509

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ ، لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً ، وَسَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً ، لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَتَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. If people were to walk in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, I would walk with the Ansar in their valley.
