Hadith 105

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيَرْقُدُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: If a person becomes impure by choice, can he sleep in that state? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! He should perform ablution and then sleep."
