حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلًا ، فَيَأْتِيَ الْجَبَلَ فَيَحْتَطِبَ مِنْهُ ، فَيَبِيعَهُ فَيَأْكُلَ وَيَتَصَدَّقَ ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is much better that one of you takes a rope, gathers firewood, carries it on his back, sells it, and eats from what he earns or gives it in charity, rather than asking people.
