Hadith 10230

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَشْعَرُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَتْهَا الْعَرَبُ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ : أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The truest verse ever spoken by a poet is the verse of Labid: "Behold! Everything except Allah is false (perishable)."
