Hadith 10217

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَوْ جُعِلَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ أَوْ لِأَحَدِكُمْ مِرْمَاتَانِ حَسَنَتَانِ ، أَوْ عَرْقٌ مِنْ شَاةٍ سَمِينَةٍ ، لَأَتَوْهَا أَجْمَعُونَ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا يَعْنِي الْعِشَاءَ وَالصُّبْحَ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا ، وَلَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ آتِيَ أَقْوَامًا يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْهَا أَوْ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If any of you were certain that he would receive a thick, fat bone or two fine hoofs, he would surely join me in prayer (according to another narration, even in the Isha prayer). My heart desires that I order a man to lead the prayer, then I go to those people who do not participate in the congregational prayer and set fire to their houses.
