Hadith 10204

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ ، قََالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَوْقَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقُلْتُ مِمَّ تَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ قََالَ : مِنْ أَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ أَكَلْتُهَا ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ " .
Ibrahim bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) on top of the mosque and he was performing ablution. I asked, "With what are you performing ablution?" He said, "I ate some pieces of cheese, and I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: After eating something cooked on fire, perform ablution."
