Hadith 10063

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَاد ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَال : " لَوْ سَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا ، لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ شِعْبَهُم ، وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : وَمَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي ، لَقَدْ آوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ , أَوْ وَاسَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people were walking in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, I would walk with the Ansar in their valley. If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar.
