Hadith 10057

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا ، لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades star, some people from among the sons of Persia would surely acquire it from there.
