Hadith 10050

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ . وَحَجَّاجٌ , قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيك ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is permissible to dedicate something as a waqf (endowment) for a lifetime.
