Hadith 10048

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ . وَحَجَّاجٌ , قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، قََالَ : حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّضْرَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَفْلَسَ الرَّجُل ، فَوَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a man is declared bankrupt and someone finds his own property with him in its original form, then he has more right to that property than others.
