Hadith 10033

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَاد ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ جُمَّتُهُ وَبُرْدَاهُ ، إِذْ خُسِفَ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: A man was walking with pride and arrogance, wearing the best clothes, feeling great admiration for his hair, and he had let his lower garment hang below his ankles. Suddenly, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.
