Hadith 10032

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَاد ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " نَارُ بَنِي آدَمَ الَّتِي يُوقِدُونَ ، جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكَافِيَةً ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ فُضِّلَتْ عَلَيْهِ بِتِسْعَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ جُزْءًا حَرًّا فَحَرًّا " .
It is narrated from the same chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: "This fire of yours which the children of Adam kindle is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell." The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, even this one part is sufficient." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The fire of Hell is sixty-nine degrees hotter than this, and each degree is like the heat of this (worldly fire)."
