Hadith 10014

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِح ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمَّا فَرَغَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ ، كَتَبَ عَلَى عَرْشِهِ : رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah decided to create the creation, He wrote in a book which is with Him above the Throne: "My mercy prevails over My wrath."
