Hadith 10010

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا ، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ لَيْسَ بِمُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُه " ، قَالُوا : وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " وَلَا أَنَا ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Remain steadfast on the right path and stay close to the straight path, and remember! None of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy."
