Hadith 30
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ: كَيْفَ صَنَعْتَ فِي اسْتِلَامِكَ الْحَجَرَ؟ قَالَ: اسْتَلَمْتُ وَتَرَكَتُ قَالَ: أَصَبْتَ.
It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair, who reports from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: "How did you go about touching the Black Stone?" I replied: Sometimes I touched it and sometimes I left it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You did right."
Hadith 31
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ: «كَيْفَ صَنَعْتَ فِي اسْتِلَامِكَ الرُّكْنَ الْأَسْوَدَ؟» قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: اسْتَلَمْتُ وَتَرَكَتُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم: «أَصَبْتَ».
It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) asked Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him): "How did you act regarding touching the Black Stone?" He replied: Sometimes I touched it and sometimes I left it, so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "You did right."
Hadith 32
حَدَّثَنَا خَلْفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ: كَيْفَ صَنَعْتَ فِي الرُّكْنِ؟ قَالَ: اسْتَلَمْتُ وَتَرَكَتُ، قَالَ: أَصَبْتَ.
Urwah bin Zubair narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him): "How did you act regarding touching the Black Stone?" He replied: "Sometimes I touched it and sometimes I left it." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "You did right."
