Hadith 43

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، لَمْ يُسَمِّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم: «لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمُ الْعِشَاءِ، وَإِنَّمَا يُعْتِمُ أَصْحَابُ الْإِبِلِ».
An unknown person narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let not the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your 'Isha prayer. The camel owners (at the time of 'Isha) milk the she-camels late (and they call this prayer 'Atamah, so beware lest they make this name prevalent)."
