Hadith 19

Abu Salamah narrated from his father Abdur Rahman, who narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he said: “Indeed, Allah the Exalted has made fasting in Ramadan obligatory, and I have made its night prayer a Sunnah. Whoever fasts during this (month) and stands (in prayer) with faith, certainty, and seeking goodness, then this act will be an expiation for his past sins.” Or as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said.
