Hadith 10

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَالزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ، شَكَيَا الْقَمْلَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، «فَرَخَّصَ لَهُمَا فِي قَمِيصِ الْحَرِيرِ فِي غَزَاةٍ لَهُمَا».
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that Abdur Rahman bin Awf and Zubair bin Al-Awwam, may Allah be pleased with them both, complained to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about lice, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, granted them permission to wear silk shirts during the military expeditions.
