Hadith 83
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَأْكُلُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ "، فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ، لا يَأْكُلُ مِنْ لَحْمِ هَدْيِهِ .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should eat the meat of the sacrifice for more than three days." When the sun would set on the third day, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would not eat from his sacrificial meat.
