Hadith 74
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَحِلُّ لامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ، وَتُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ زَوْجٌ " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to observe mourning for anyone who has died for more than three days, except for her husband."
