Hadith 67
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ الْبَابْلُتِّيُّ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي السِّلَعِ، حَتَّى يُهْبَطَ بِهَا الأَسْوَاقَ، وَنَهَى عَنِ التَّنَاجُشِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade meeting the goods (of traders) outside (the markets) until they reach the markets, and he forbade bidding over one another’s goods to increase the price.
