Hadith 45
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " عَلَى الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ : السَّمْعُ، وَالطَّاعَةُ فِيمَا أَحَبَّ، وَكَرِهَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is obligatory upon a Muslim to listen to and obey (the ruler's) command, whether he likes it or dislikes it."
