Hadith 37
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى كَأَنَّ بِيَدِهِ خِرْقَةً مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ، لا يَسِيرُ بِهَا إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ إِلا طَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَصَّهَا عَلَى حَفْصَةَ، فَقَصَّتْهَا حَفْصَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ " .
It is narrated from Nafi‘ (may Allah have mercy on him) that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a dream in which it was as if there was a piece of silk in his hand, and wherever in Paradise he wished to go, it would carry him there flying. He related this dream to Umm al-Mu’minin, Lady Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her), and Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) related it to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Abdullah is a righteous man."
