Hadith 26
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْخَفَّافُ الْعِجْلِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ إِذْ لَقِيَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ فِي النَّجْوَى ؟ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ : " يَدْنُو الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُ بَذْجٌ، قَالَ أَبُو النَّصْرِ : قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : الْبَذْجُ : السَّخْلَةُ، فَيَضَعُ عَلَيْهِ كَنَفَهُ، يَعْنِي سِتْرَهُ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُ : هَلْ تَعْرِفُ ؟ هَلْ تَعْرِفُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : رَبِّ أَعْرِفُ، رَبِّ أَعْرِفُ، فَيَقُولُ : هَلْ تَعْرِفُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : رَبِّ أَعْرِفُ، فَيَقُولُ : هَلْ تَعْرِفُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : رَبِّ أَعْرِفُ، فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا سَتَرْتُهَا عَلَيْكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَأَنَا أَغْفِرُهَا لَكَ الْيَوْمَ، قَالَ : وَيُعْطَى صَحِيفَةَ حَسَنَاتِهِ، قَالَ : وَأَمَّا الْكَافِرُ، وَالْمُنَافِقُونَ، فَيُنَادِيهِمْ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الأَشْهَادِ : هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ، أَلا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : فَلَمْ يُخْزَ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَحَدٌ يَخْفَى خِزْيُهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْخَلائِقِ " .
Safwan bin Mahraz says: Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was performing Tawaf of the House of Allah when a man met him and said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) regarding the manner of private conversation (with Allah)? He replied: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "On the Day of Resurrection, the believer will be brought close to his Lord, as if he is a lamb or a kid, and He will cover him and ask him: Do you know? Do you know? And he will say: O my Lord! I know, O my Lord! I know. He will ask again: Do you know? He will say: O my Lord! I know. He will ask again: Do you know? He will say: O my Lord! I know. Then Allah, the Exalted, will say: I concealed it for you in the world, and today I forgive you for it. Then he will be given the record of his good deeds." And as for the disbelievers and hypocrites, a call will be made before all the people: These are the ones who lied against their Lord; beware, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers. Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: On that day, no one will be disgraced who concealed his disgrace from the creation.
