Hadith 20
وَعَنْ وَعَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَعَنَ النَّائِحَةَ وَالْمُسْتَمِعَةَ، وَالْحَالِقَةَ وَالصَّالِقَةَ، وَالْوَاشِمَةَ، وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ، وَقَالَ : لَيْسَ لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي اتِّبَاعِ الْجَنَائِزِ أَجْرٌ " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wails, the one who listens to wailing, the one who shaves her head (in mourning), the one who screams and wails, the one who tattoos, and the one who gets tattooed, and said: There is no reward for women in following funeral processions.
