Hadith 19
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ الْيَحْصِبِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ النَّمِيمَةَ : وَهِيَ الْكَذِبُ، وَالسَّخِيمَةَ وَالْحَمِيَّةَ فِي النَّارِ، فَلا يَجْتَمِعَانِ فِي صَدْرِ مُسْلِمٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, tale-bearing is falsehood, and malice and (tribal and ignorant) zealotry are in the Hellfire. These two things cannot be combined in the heart of a Muslim."
