Hadith 6
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ : جَاءَ عُبَيْدٌ إِلَى أَبِي، فَقَالَ : أَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ خِصَالٍ، فَقَالَ لِي : " هَاتِ، فَإِنَّكَ لا تَزَالُ تَأْتِينِي بِشَيْءٍ "، قُلْتُ : رَأَيْتُكَ لا تَمْسَحُ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَرْكَانِ إِلا الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَّ، وَالرُّكْنَ الَّذِي فِيهِ الْحَجَرُ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ "، قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتُكَ لا تَلْبَسُ مِنْ هَذِهِ النِّعَالِ إِلا السِّبْتِيَّةَ، قَالَ عَاصِمٌ : السِّبْتِيَّةُ تُحْلَقُ وَتُدْبَغُ، لَيْسَ فِيهِ شَعَرٌ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ، يَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا، وَيُصَلِّي فِيهَا، وَيَسْتَحِبُّهَا " .
It is narrated from Ubaid bin Juraij, he said: Ubaid came to my father and said: I went to Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and asked him about some matters, so he said: Speak, you always come to me for some purpose. I asked: I have not seen you touching any other corner except the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this. Ibn Juraij said: I have only seen you wearing Sabti shoes. Asim said: By Sabti shoes is meant the shoe which, after the leather is cleaned and dyed and has no hair, is prepared. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this (wearing Sabti shoes). He would perform ablution in them, pray in them, and he liked them.
