Hadith 85

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَرِيكٍ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ الأَصَمُّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ، أَخَّرَ الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَبَيْنَ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ "، وَقَدْ فَعَلَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had to set out on a journey in haste, he would delay the Maghrib prayer and combine Maghrib and Isha. Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) also did the same while I was with him.
