Hadith 285
عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى الإِمَارَةِ، وَإِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ نَدَامَةً وحَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَنِعْمَتِ الْمُرْضِعَةُ، وَبِئْسَتِ الْفَاطِمَةُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he reports from the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Soon you will covet leadership, and indeed it will be a cause of regret and sorrow on the Day of Resurrection. Good is the one who nurses, and bad is the one who weans."
