Hadith 279
أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ وَابِصَةَ الأَسَدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : إِنِّي لَبِالْكُوفَةِ فِي دَارِي إِذْ سَمِعْتُ عَلَى بَابِ الدَّارِ : السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَقُلْتُ : وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلامُ، فَلَجَّ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ، إِذَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَيُّ سَاعَةِ زِيَارَةٍ هَذِهِ، وَذَلِكَ فِي بَحْرِ الظَّهِيرَةِ ؟ قَالَ : طَالَ عَلَيَّ النَّهَارُ، فَذَكَرْتُ مَنْ أَتَحَدَّثُ إِلَيْهِ، قَالَ : فَجَعَلَ يُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُحَدِّثُهُ، ثُمَّ أَنْشَأَ يُحَدِّثُنِي، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " تَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ، النَّائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمُضْطَجِعِ، وَالْمُضْطَجِعُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَاعِدِ، وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ، وَالْقَائِمُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي، وَالْمَاشِي خَيْرٌ مِنَ الرَّاكِبِ، وَالرَّاكِبُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْجَارِي، قَتْلاهَا كُلُّهَا فِي النَّارِ "، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَمَتَى ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ : " ذَاكَ الْهَرْجُ "، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : وَمَتَى أَيَّامُ الْهَرْجِ ؟ قَالَ : " حِينَ لا يَأْمَنُ الرَّجُلُ جَلِيسَهُ "، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَبِمَ تَأْمُرُنِي إِذَا أَدْرَكْتُ ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ : " اكْفُفْ نَفْسَكَ وَيَدَيْكَ وَادْخُلْ دَارَكَ "، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ دَارِي ؟ قَالَ : " فَادْخُلْ بَيْتَكَ "، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ بَيْتِي ؟ قَالَ : " فَادْخُلْ مَسْجِدَكَ، ثُمَّ اصْنَعْ هَكَذَا، ثُمَّ قَبَضَ بِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى الْكُوعِ، وقُلْ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ حَتَّى تُقْتَلَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .
Wabisa Asadi narrated that indeed I was inside my house in Kufa when I heard: "Peace be upon you (may I enter?)" I said, "And peace be upon you (please enter)." When he came in, suddenly it was Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). I said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! What is this time for a meeting?" And it was midday. He said, "The day became long for me, and I thought about whom I could talk to." He said that he began to narrate to me the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I began to narrate them to him. Then he started narrating a hadith to me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There will be a tribulation; the one who is sleeping during it is better than the one lying down, the one lying down is better than the one sitting, the one sitting is better than the one standing, the one standing is better than the one walking, the one walking is better than the one riding, and the one riding is better than the one running. All those killed in it will be in the Fire." I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! And when will that be?" He said: "It will be during the days of 'Harj' (killing)." He said, "I asked, and when will the days of 'Harj' be?" He said: "When a man will not be safe from his companion." He said, "I asked: If I reach that time, what do you command me to do?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Restrain your life and your hands, and enter your neighborhood." I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What do you think, if he enters upon me in my neighborhood?" He said, "What do you think, if he enters upon me in my house?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Enter your mosque, and do likewise." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clasped his right hand on his wrist and said: "My Lord is Allah alone, until you are killed upon that."
