Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that indeed one day she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying from the pulpit: "O people!" She said that at that time she was having her hair combed, so she said to the woman who was combing her hair, "Woe to you, leave my head." The woman said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is merely calling the people." She replied, "Are we not among the people?" So she wrapped her head and stood behind her chamber and heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "O people! Indeed, I will be at the Hawd (the Pond) during that time, when you will be passed in groups, and you will be taken on different paths. I will call you, 'Listen! Come to this path.' Then a caller will call out from behind me, 'Indeed, they changed (the religion) after you.' I will say: 'Beware! Distance, distance.'"
