Hadith 227
عَنِ الأَجْلَحِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، قَالَ : دَعَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ السِّمْطِ، مُرَّةَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ أَوْ كَعْبَ بْنَ مُرَّةَ، فَقَالَ : حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاحْذَرْ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأَةً مُسْلِمَةً أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Ubaid bin Abi Al-Ja’d, may Allah have mercy on him, narrated: Shurahbil bin Simt called Marrah bin Ka’b or Ka’b bin Marrah and said: Narrate to me a hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and fear (Allah). So he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: “Whoever frees a Muslim (male) slave, Allah will free each of his limbs from the Fire in exchange for each limb of that (slave), and whoever frees a Muslim woman (slave-girl), Allah will free each of his limbs from the Fire in exchange for each limb of hers.”
