Hadith 202
عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ السَّعْدِيِّ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنِ الضَّبُعِ ؟ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أَكْلَهَا لا يَصْلُحُ، وَهَلْ يَأْكُلُهَا أَحَدٌ ؟ قُلْتُ : إِنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ قَوْمِي لَيَتَحَمَّلُونَهَا فَيَأْكُلُونَهَا، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أَكْلَهَا لا يَصْلُحُ . فَقَالَ شَيْخٌ عِنْدَهُ : إِنْ شِئْتَ حدَّثْتُكَ، مَا سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ كُلِّ نُهْبَةٍ، وَعَنْ كُلِّ خَطْفَةٍ، وَعَنْ كُلِّ مُجَثَّمَةٍ، وَعَنْ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ "، فَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ : صَدَقْتَ .
Yazid bin Abdullah Sa'di (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Sa'id bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) about the badger, so he said: "Indeed, its consumption is not permissible, and does anyone eat it?" I said: "Indeed, some people of my tribe pick it up and eat it." He said: "Surely, its consumption is not permissible." A sheikh who was with him said: "If you wish, I will narrate to you what I heard Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) say." He said: "I heard him say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade every act of highway robbery, every act of snatching, every animal killed as a target, and every beast of prey with fangs." Sa'id bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "You have spoken the truth."
