Hadith 185
أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، أَنَّ حَفْصَ بْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ الْمَقَامِ فِي مَجْلِسٍ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَئِنْ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَكَّةَ لأُصَلِّيَنَّ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ، وَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ رَجُلا مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ هَا هُنَا حَقِيرًا فِي قُرَيْشٍ مُقْبِلا مَعِي وَمُدْبِرًا، فَقَالَ : " هَا هُنَا فَصَلِّ "، فَعَادَ الرَّجُلُ لِقَوْلِهِ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَا هُنَا فَصَلِّ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ الرَّابِعَةَ مَقَالَتَهُ هَذِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَاذْهَبْ فَصَلِّ فِيهِ، فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَ مُحَمَّدًا بِالْحَقِّ لَوْ صَلَّيْتَ هَا هُنَا لَقَضَى ذَلِكَ عَنْكَ صَلَوَاتِكَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ "، وَقَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ الشَّرِيدُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ مِنَ الصِّدْقِ، وَهُوَ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ .
Umar bin Abdur Rahman bin Awf narrates from an Ansari man among the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that indeed, on the day of the conquest of Makkah, a man from the Ansar came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Indeed, I have made a vow that if Allah grants victory of Makkah to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the believers, then I will surely lead prayer in Bayt al-Maqdis, and indeed I have found a man from the people of Sham here among the Quraysh, going and returning with me, to be insignificant." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pray here." That man repeated his statement three times, and each time the Prophet (peace be upon him) told him: "Pray here." Then, when he repeated his statement a fourth time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Then go and pray there. By the One Who sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the truth, if you pray here, it will certainly be as if you have performed your prayer in Bayt al-Maqdis." Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the man was Shuraid bin Suwayd bin Sadaf from the tribe of Banu Thaqif.
