Hadith 158
عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَرَأَ عَنِ الْمُنْتَهِبِ وَالْمُخْتَلِسِ وَالْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has exempted the hand-cutting punishment from the highway robber, the snatcher, and the betrayer.
