Hadith 109
عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، نا عَامِرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ، ثُمَّ الْحُبُلِيِّ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ سُبْحَانَهُ سَيُخَلِّصُ رَجُلا مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَيَنْشُرُ عَلَيْهِ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ سِجِلا، كُلُّ سِجِلٍّ مَدَّ الْبَصَرِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لَهُ : أَتُنكِرُ مِنْ هَذَا شَيْئًا ؟ أَظَلَمَكَ كَتَبَتِي الْحَافِظُونَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : لا يَا رَبِّ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : أَلَكَ عُذْرٌ أَوْ حَسَنَةٌ ؟ فَبُهِتَ الرَّجُلُ، وَقَالَ : لا يَا رَبِّ، فَيَقُولُ : بَلَى، إِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَنَا حَسَنَةً، فَإِنَّهُ لا ظُلْمَ عَلَيْكَ الْيَوْمَ، فَتُخْرَجُ لَهُ بِطَاقَةٌ فِيهَا : أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، فَيَقُولُ : احْضُرْ وَزْنَكَ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ، فَمَا هَذِهِ الْبِطَاقَةُ مَعَ هَذِهِ السِّجِلاتِ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : إِنَّكَ لا تُظْلَمُ، قَالَ : فَتُوضَعُ السِّجِلاتُ فِي كِفَّةٍ وَالْبِطَاقَةُ فِي كِفَّةٍ، فَطَاشَتِ السِّجِلاتُ، وَثَقُلَتِ الْبِطَاقَةُ وَلا يَثْقُلُ مَعَ اسْمِ اللَّهِ شَيْءٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, will select a man from my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection before all of creation. Ninety-nine registers will be opened before him, each register stretching as far as the eye can see. Then He will say to him: Do you deny anything from this? Did My recording angels wrong you? He will say: No, my Lord! Allah will say: Do you have any excuse or any good deed? The man will be overwhelmed with anxiety and say: No, my Lord! Allah will say: On the contrary, indeed you have one good deed with Us, and today you will not be wronged. Then a slip will be brought out for him, on which will be written: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and indeed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger. Allah will say: Come to the scale. The man will say: O Lord! What is the worth of this slip compared to these registers? Allah will say: You will not be wronged. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then all the registers will be placed in one pan of the scale, and the registers will become light, and the slip will become heavy, for nothing can outweigh the name of Allah.”
